Madhu Sudan Law College emerged champions in the Utkal University Inter-College Cricket Tournament, which concluded at SCB Medical College ground in Cuttack today. In the exciting final match, MS Law rode on a whirlwind 99 (64 balls) by Biplab Siladitya to edge out Capital Law College by one wicket.
Prof Dhirendra Nath Moharana, the Dean of SCB Medical College, handed over the trophy at the closing function. Utkal University Sports Council secretary Prof Jayant Parida was present on the occasion.
BRIEF SCORE:
Capital Law College 191/10 in 33 overs (Jamini Nayak 44, Lenin Kanungo 35, Deepak Samantaray 32; S Deepak 4/29, Surajit 2/33) lost to MS Law College 192/9 in 30 overs (Biplab Siladitya 99, Rudra Mohapatra 21 n.o, Rabi Sahoo 21; Lokanath Muni 4/36, Kamalakanta Jena 2/39).
